I bought this for a Xmas gift for my sister. At times, she will prefer a Glass Carafe for when she only makes 3 cups and wants to see whats left. You can’t see whats left in the Thermal one. I don’t see any reason why she can’t use either. Does anyone know for sure?

I have a Cuisinart Brew Central 12-Cup Coffee Maker and it only stays on for 2 hours from brew time. some days my husband wakes up 4 hours before me and I am left with cold coffee. I want to get a carafe and saw that cuisinart makes coffee makers that come with a thermal carafe. Is it possible to buy a replacement carafe for that model and use it with my coffee maker (it has the hot plate on the base)? Or am I better off buying just a seperate thermal carafe to have him pour the hot coffee into? Any suggestions on a good brand? Thanks!
